JPG to SVG Converter That Redraws Scans as Real Vectors

Upload a JPG logo, scan or drawing. The AI traces every edge into smooth vector paths, so the SVG stays sharp on a website, a cutter or a print file.

What the AI puts in your SVG

Real SVG paths, not a JPG in a wrapper

Each colour area of the JPG is redrawn as a filled path of lines and Bézier curves. There is no bitmap hidden in the file, so a JPG to SVG logo stays sharp from a favicon to a poster and can be selected shape by shape.

JPEG ringing is merged, not traced as specks

A JPEG of flat artwork has hundreds of near-identical colours around every edge. The tracer collapses that halo into the colours and lines that were really there, so the SVG does not fill with crumbs.

Fine-tune colours after the trace

You can fine-tune the palette on the result page: drop the white background a JPG always has, lower the colour count, or recolour one shape. Switching style is free and does not start a new upload.

One unlock, the other formats too

The SVG is the file this page is for. The same 10 credits also write EPS and PDF for print, DXF and G-code for a laser, and a high-resolution PNG for mockups.

What JPG to SVG conversion really means

This page converts a JPG (or JPEG — the same format with two spellings) into an SVG. A JPG is a grid of pixels compressed so photos stay small. SVG stores shapes as coordinates and curves. A JPG to SVG conversion therefore has to redraw every edge, not rename the file.

Wrapping the JPG inside an SVG with an image tag keeps the pixels. Enlarge that file and the stairs come back. This tool runs an AI tracer on the uploaded JPG, fits smooth curves to the colour areas, and writes a standard SVG of filled paths.

JPG has no transparency. A white box around a logo becomes a shape unless you drop it on the result page. The box also accepts PNG and WebP, but a file that already has a clear background is better on the PNG to SVG page. The watermarked preview is free; a clean download costs 10 credits.

How to convert JPG to SVG in three steps

The watermarked preview is free, so you can judge the AI trace before you spend a credit.

  1. Step 1: Drop the JPG

Drop a JPG or JPEG into the box above, or paste it from the clipboard, up to 5 MB. PNG and WebP are accepted too. A check warns you if the file is tiny or blurry. Keep Standard when you want every colour.

  2. Step 2: Check the AI trace

In about 10 to 20 seconds the vector preview sits next to the JPG. Fine-tune the colour count, drop the white background, or try Retry in HD when a small scan looks soft. Switching style is free.

  3. Step 3: Download the SVG

Press Download SVG (10 credits) after you sign in. The clean JPG to SVG file saves at once. EPS, PDF, DXF and the smaller web SVG of the same trace stay available at no extra cost.

Why use this JPG to SVG converter

You see the paths before you pay

The preview is the real trace, not a mock-up. If the JPG to SVG result is wrong, change the style for free. Retry in HD costs 5 extra credits and upscales before a new trace. The clean download is 10 credits.

Curves instead of JPEG stairs

Threshold tracers copy every compression block. The AI fits Bézier curves to the edges it finds, which keeps a badge round where it should be round and straight where it should be straight.

Honest about upload and storage

This page requires an upload. The JPG leaves the browser and is sent to our server so the model can trace it. We do not claim it never leaves this tab. Files are stored privately and deleted after 24 hours.

Private files, gone the next day

Uploads and results are not published or shared. After 24 hours they are removed. Convert only images you own or have permission to use. We do not offer unlimited free downloads.

JPG to SVG recipes for real jobs

Logo saved as a JPG from a website

Input
A 800 px JPG logo with a white box, copied from your own site.
Setting
Standard style, drop the background, Retry in HD if edges look soft, then SVG.
Output
A JPG to SVG logo that scales from a header to a shop sign.
Watch out
Only convert logos you own or have permission to use.

Scan of a drawing

Input
A straight-on JPG scan of a logo or lettering on paper.
Setting
Clean & simple, fewer colours, then SVG.
Output
Editable paths instead of paper texture.
Watch out
A photo taken at an angle traces shadows as extra shapes.

Cricut cut file from a JPG sticker

Input
A bold JPG sticker with a few flat colours.
Setting
Cut-ready style, then SVG or the Cricut ZIP.
Output
Layered cut paths without the white rectangle.
Watch out
Details under about 1 mm are hard to weed after cutting.

Icon that only exists as a JPEG

Input
A two-colour JPG icon, about 512 px.
Setting
Clean & simple, two colours, drop the background, then the web SVG.
Output
A small SVG you can inline and recolour with CSS.
Watch out
Hairline strokes may merge; thicken them in the source first.

Tips for a clean SVG from a JPG

  • Start from the largest JPG you have. A logo around 1,000 px wide traces far more cleanly than a phone photo of a business card. Retry in HD (5 extra credits) upscales a small file before the JPG to SVG trace.
  • Flat artwork converts best. Photos become a poster of colour patches and a large SVG. That is a limit of tracing, not a bug.
  • Drop the white background on the result page. JPG cannot store transparency, so the paper or the studio backdrop will otherwise become a rectangle.
  • Lower the colour count when JPEG noise created extra specks. Four or six colours often looks cleaner than keeping every near-duplicate tone.
  • Worth reading next: if your file is already a transparent PNG, use the PNG to SVG page. Related links sit under the things people ask section.

What this JPG to SVG page does not do

This converter requires an upload; the file leaves the browser. We do not wrap a JPG inside an SVG, write native Illustrator documents, or claim unlimited free downloads. Photos can be traced, but the result is a stylised poster. Text becomes outlines, not editable type. The page is written for JPG and JPEG; a transparent PNG belongs on the PNG to SVG page. The watermarked preview is free; a clean JPG to SVG download costs 10 credits.
